Studiet undervises i sin helhet på engelsk, og studenter som besvarer alle eksamener og skriver sin hovedoppgave på engelsk vil få tittelen Master of Science in Logistics. Velger man å skrive masteroppgaven på norsk vil man få tildelt graden Master i Logistikk. Relevante kurs fra andre studieprogram kan etter søknad inngå i Master of Science - graden, selv om de er gjennomført på norsk. Molde University College - Spcialized University in Logistics is the sole institution i Norway offering a bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degree in Logistics.
Logistics deals with the organization of the flow of products, services and information from raw materials to the end user.The approaches to problem solving in logistics are both quantitative and qualitative, and are therefore built on a broad spectrum of academic disciplines, such as economics, information and communication technology, business administration, organization and management, besides quantitative techniques requiring a good background in mathematics, operations research and statistics.
The 2 years international MSc programme in Logistics is offered to both Norwegian and international students and is taught in English, with English instructions, textbooks and handouts. Admission takes place once per year, and the programme begins in mid August in the autumn semester.
The MSc programme in Logistics will qualify the graduates for a wide range of employment opportunities within both the private and the public sector in Norway, as well as abroad. With a MSc degree in Logistics, highly qualified graduates can also apply for admission to the PhD programme in Logistics at Molde University College, as well as other degree programmes in Norway or abroad.
The programme aims at giving a thorough analysis and understanding of the problems and solutions associated with all parts of the value chain: purchase and supply, production planning, inventory management and distribution planning, including the creation of transport services. The relationship between the different value chains, including supply chain management, is a major focus of this MSc programme.

The Master's degree will qualify for positions in the private and public sector, in Norway as well as abroad, in a broad range of work areas. Job opportunities for people with an education in logistics are very good. The Master’s degree will also qualify for the PhD programme at Molde University College, as well as other programmes nationally and internationally.
