Instruction
Intensive seminar(s). Individual tutoring related to the essay via e-mail and Classfronter.

Mandatory Assignments
A minimum attendence of 80% at the seminar(s) is required.

Evaluation
A mandatory essay counts 100% of the grade. The essay should be written according to one of the subject areas of the module and the subject for the essay must be approved by the module leader. The deadline for the handing in of the essay will be announced at the seminars. The essay must be between 6 and 8 000 words if written individually, or between 9 and 12 000 words if written by a pair of students. . In such a case there will only be one common grade for both students.

The main objective of the module is to give a thorough introduction to central transport planning issues.

Content

The exact content of the module may vary from one year to another. This is to allow for the coverage of topical issues within Norwegian or European transport policy and planning. Typical issues would be: Transport policy, methodology and data sources within transport analysis, economic analysis of the transport sector, security and safety in transport and efficient transport solutions for industries.
